"Göttingen" by French singer, Barbara, a Parisian born Jew who went into hiding as a child during the German occupation of France during the Second World War. Two decades after the war, Barbara travelled to the German city of Göttingen and wrote this love song. It is often said that this song did more ease post-war tensions and animosity between Germans and the French than any formal acts of diplomacy.
